OMZ Special Steels’ Forgings Certified by Bureau Veritas
08/25/2009 - OMZ Special Steels passes certification of its steel forgings designed for shipbuilding and marine engineering.
OMZ Special Steels has successfully passed a certification of its steel forgings designed for shipbuilding and marine engineering. The certification procedure was conducted by the Bureau Veritas (BV), a French classification organization.
Valid until August, 11, 2013, the certificate allows OMZ Special Steels to produce forgings from carbon, carbon-manganese, and alloy steels used in the shipbuilding industry in accordance with BV Rules.
OMZ Special Steels' products for the shipbuilding industry have also been certified by other classification societies that are the International Association of Classification Societies' (IACS) members, including Russian Maritime Navigation Register, Lloyd's Register of Shipping (U.K.), Germanischer Lloyd (Germany), Det Norske Veritas (Norway), American Bureau of Shipping (United States), Registro Italiano Navale (Italy), and Russian River Register.
