OMZ Special Steels Certified by Germanischer Lloyd
08/27/2009 - OMZ Special Steels passes another certification procedure for its steel forgings designed for shipbuilding.
OMZ Special Steels has passed a certification procedure conducted by Germanischer Lloyd (GL) of its steel forgings designed for shipbuilding.
The certificate, which is valid until September, 7, 2012, allows OMZ Special Steels to produce forgings from Ck 50 mod (SEW 550, DIN EN 10083-1) steel used in the shipbuilding industry in accordance with GL Rules.
The company also was recently certified for its steel forgings for shipbuilding and marine engineering by the French classification organization Bureau Veritas.
In addition, OMZ Special Steels' products have been certified by Russian Maritime Navigation Register, Lloyd's Register of Shipping (U.K.), Det Norske Veritas (Norway), American Bureau of Shipping (United States), Registro Italiano Navale (Italy), and Russian River Register.
