OMZ Group Joins Metallurgmash International Union

OMZ Group (Uralmash-Izhora Group) has joined Metallurgmash, a non-commercial organization comprising the metallurgical engineering companies of Russia, Belarus, Italy, and Germany.
 
The union’s stated goal is to increase the research and development, production, and investment potential, and strengthen and develop competitiveness of the metallurgical equipment manufacturers of Russia, CIS, and foreign countries.
 
“Participation in the Metallurgmash activities will allow the OMZ Group companies to aid the development of the state policy regarding the production of metallurgical equipment for the Russian companies,” said Igor Sorochan, OMZ General Director. “Membership in the union will also allow us to strengthen cooperation with traditional and new partners in Russia and abroad, and to improve our market positions.”
 
“Key goal of the union is to bring together the intellectual potential, practical efforts, and corporate interest of the metallurgical and engineering plants,” said Nikolai Pasechnik, Metallurgmash Union President. “Therefore, OMZ participation in our activities, taking into account the size and product range of the company, will facilitate the development of this industry in our country.”
 
OMZ Group is one of the leading heavy industry companies specializing in engineering, production, sales, and service support of equipment for nuclear, oil and gas, mining industries, as well as special steel production and industrial services.
