Gea will report to the company’s president and chief operating officer, Andrew S. Greiff, and will provide strategic leadership for the sustainable growth of Olympic Steel's carbon flat rolled business segment, which accounts for half of the company’s revenue.

Gea joined the company in 2002 and has progressed through roles of increasing responsibility. He most recently served as regional vice president for the company's carbon flat rolled business in the southeastern United States.
