Olympic Steel Names James V. Beebe General Manager of North Carolina Operation

Mr. Beebe, 53, brings more than 30 years of experience in the metals fabrication industry with increasing levels of responsibility, including his most recent position as Vice President of Business Development for a North Carolina-based full-service armor fabricator.

In this role, he developed cost models and managed manufacturing and processing operations including welding, machining, painting and powder-coat services for a diversified group of prime OEM customers.
 
His expertise spans operations, sales management, quality assurance and strategic planning with an emphasis on metal processing and fabrication — which are key elements of Olympic Steel's growth strategy.

Mr. Beebe earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Dayton and subsequently earned a Master of Business Administration focused on operations and finance from Queens University of Charlotte in Charlotte, North Carolina.
 
In his new role, Mr. Beebe will report to John Brieck Regional Vice President - Southern Region.
