Olympic Steel Makes Management Changes

Olympic Steel, Inc. announced that Esther Potash will assume the role of Chief Information Officer. The company also named Frank Ruane to the position of Vice President – Purchasing & Materials Management.
 
Ms. Potash has been with Olympic Steel since 1998, most recently serving as its Corporate Director of Strategic Initiatives. Prior to joining Olympic Steel, Ms. Potash spent 13 years as a management consultant with a public accounting firm, and six years as an analyst with the United States Navy. Ms. Potash received certification from the Institute of Management Consulting and is a member of the Association of Women in the Metal Industry. Esther received her M.B.A from Weatherhead School of Management, and her B.A. from Miami University.
 
Frank Ruane re-joined Olympic Steel, Inc. in 1998, most recently serving as Director – Purchasing & Materials Management. Prior to re-joining Olympic Steel, he held leadership positions in marketing and sales management at other service centers. From 1987 to 1992, Mr. Ruane served as an Outside Sales Representative for Olympic Steel. Frank received his M.B.A from Loyola College and his B.A from the University of Maryland at College Park.
