Olympic Steel Expands Footprint in Southeastern U.S.

According to Olympic Steel, the 120,000-square-foot plant, located in Buford, Ga., will serve as its primary flat-rolled fabrication hub in the southeastern U.S.

"The opening of the Buford facility strategically aligns our product and processing capabilities to efficiently meet our growing customer needs in the Southeast," said David Gea, region vice president and general manager. "The expansion allows us to offer new processed products and additional just-in-time services to our customers."

In addition to the new plant, Olympic added a new fiber optic laser and a 600-ton stamping press, supporting its commitment to automotive OEMs and their tier 1 and 2 parts makers, the company said.
