Ohio Sheet Processor Expands Pickling Line's Capabilities
06/14/2016 - U.S.-based steel processor Heidtman Steel has upgraded a pickling line by adding dry lube capabilities, the company has announced.
The line, located at its Cleveland, Ohio, facility, has an overall dimensional capacity of .625 x 72 inches and is equipped with a Parsytec continuous inspection system.
“This is the third upgrade that we’ve done to this pickle line in the last five years in order to provide efficient and cost effective solutions for our customers,” said Greg Glenn, the company’s eastern region general manager.
This line’s last expansion occurred in 2013 when it added a Pro-Eco Anti-Coil Break Roll unit.
Heidtman Steel operates 10 facilities and processes approximately 4.5 million tons of flat rolled carbon steel annually.
