Ohio Coatings Company Announces President

Jim Tennant has been named President of Ohio Coatings Company (OCC), effective April 1, 2005.

Ohio Coatings Company (OCC) is a joint venture company of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel and Dong Yang Tinplate of South Korea.

Established in 1995, OCC is the only electrolytic tin plating mill to be built in North America in more than 45 years.

The facility has the capability to produce 300,000 tons of tinplate per year.

Tennant joined OCC in June 1998 as Chief Financial Officer. In his new position, he will retain his current duties as CFO, Vice President of Administration and Treasurer.

"Jim has played an important role as OCC has become the premier tin coating facility in the United States," said Jim Bradley, Chairman and CEO of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. "He not only showed leadership through his financial and accounting responsibilities, he has been involved in developing and carrying out OCC's marketing strategy."

Before joining OCC, Tennant had nearly 20 years with Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel in a variety of increasingly responsible audit and accounting functions and was general manager of manufacturing accounting before joining OCC. He is a CPA and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in accounting from Ohio University.
