O'Neal Flat Rolled Metals Names New Leader
02/19/2014 - O’Neal Flat Rolled Metals (OFR Metals) announced that Jeff Simons will take over as the new president and CEO of the company.
Simons previously held the position of vice president of marketing and business development for O’Neal Industries, parent company of OFR Metals. He began his work with the company at O’Neal Steel in 1987 in Knoxville, Tenn. He held various positions in operations and sales. Simons later relocated to Greensboro, N.C., where he held positions in outside sales, major account management and sales management, general management and later as a regional manager over three facilities. In 2012, he relocated to Birmingham, Ala., in the position of vice president of sales and marketing for O’Neal Steel. He moved into his most recent role at O’Neal Industries in 2012.
Simons graduated from the University of Tennessee with a bachelor’s in communication. He completed the Metals Service Center Institute’s (MSCI) Strategic Metals Management Program in 2009.
