Nucor Nears Start-Up of Florida Rebar Mill
09/04/2020 - Nucor is closing in on a fourth-quarter start of its Florida micro-mill and has begun training those who will work on the shop floor, reports the The (Lakeland, Fla.) Ledger newspaper.
According to the newspaper, the company has filled about 75% of the positions and has sent employees to other Nucor sites for training.
“Our operational people are going through technical training on the equipment they’ll work on in the plant,” Nucor vice president and general manager Drew Wilcox told the newspaper.
