Nucor Names New Board Director

In her 11 years with The Boeing Co., Laurette T. Koellner, 60, held a variety of financial and business leadership positions, including president of Connexion by Boeing. She retired in 2008 as president of Boeing International in 2008. 
 
She also served as a member of the Office of the Chairman and served as executive vice president of internal services, chief human resources and administrative officer, and president of shared services.
 
"We are very fortunate to have Laurette on our board.  Her extensive international and financial expertise makes her a valuable asset to the Nucor team," said John Ferriola, Nucor's chairman and CEO, in a statement. "We look forward to benefiting from her service and insight."
 
Prior to Boeing, Koellner worked for McDonnell Douglas Corp., which was acquired by Boeing. Koellner spent 19 years with McDonnell Douglas, holding several management roles of increasing responsibility.  
 
Koellner most recently served as executive chairwoman of International Lease Finance Corp., a subsidiary of multinational insurer American International Group Inc. She held the position from 2012 until its sale to AerCap Holdings N.V. in 2014. 
 
Koellner holds a bachelor's degree in business management from the University of Central Florida and an MBA from Stetson University.
