Nucor Expects Q4 Profitability to Drop
12/15/2023 - Nucor Corp. said fourth-quarter earnings are likely to decline around 43% from the same period last year on lower pricing and volumes.
According to its most recent earnings guidance, Nucor is expecting to report profits to fall in the range of US$2.75 to US$2.85. In the same quarter last year, Nucor posted a profit of US$4.89 per diluted share. 2022 was a record year.
“In the steel mills segment, we expect the decrease in realized pricing to be most pronounced at our sheet and plate mills,” the company said.
