NSSMC Takes a New Name – and New Orders, It Hopes

05/17/2018 - Japan’s Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Corp. (NSSMC) is changing its name and will take a full stake in an affiliated company as it looks to reposition itself in the Pacific region and reclaim sales lost to Chinese competitors, reports the Nikkei Asian Review.

According to the publication, NSSMC will rename itself Nippon Steel Corp. and also will take 100% ownership of Nisshin Steel.
