Northwest Pipe to Supply Pipe for British Columbia Water Project
10/14/2008 - Northwest Pipe will supply approximately 2800 feet of 120-inch steel pipe for the Seymour and Capilano Filtration Twin Tunnels project in British Columbia.
Northwest Pipe Co. has been awarded a contract by the Greater Vancouver Water District of British Columbia for the Seymour and Capilano Filtration Twin Tunnels project.
The project includes installation of new water supply and treatment facilities for the Seymour and Capilano watersheds, which supply up to 70% of the Lower Mainland's drinking water. Construction is currently underway in the Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve (LSCR) and at Capilano River Regional Park.
Northwest Pipe will supply approximately 2800 feet of 120-inch steel pipe valued at approximately $6 million. The company expects to manufacture the pipe in its Adelanto, Calif., division with delivery scheduled to begin late 2009.
The company noted that it will release its third quarter earnings on October 22, 2008.
