Northwest Pipe Announces Piping System Order

April 3, 2007 — Northwest Pipe Co. has been named as pipe supplier by Balfour Beatty Construction, Inc. of Fairfield, Calif., for an East Bay Municipal Utility District project near Sacramento.

The company will supply approximately 7,382 feet of 36- to 144-inch diameter steel pipe for an engineered and custom fabricated piping system to be installed in the Clay Street & Camanche Raw Water Pumping Plants project. The contract is valued at approximately $5.5 million.

Northwest Pipe expects to manufacture the pipe in its Portland, Ore., or Adelanto, Calif., division, with delivery scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2007.
