March 27, 2007 — Northwest Pipe Co. has received a verbal commitment to be pipe supplier to Western Summit Constructors, Inc. of Denver, Colo., for a project in the City of Aurora, Colo.

The company will supply pipe and fittings ranging from 10- through 72-inch diameter for an engineered and custom fabricated piping system to be installed in the Utility Corridor and Yard Piping project. The contract is valued at approximately $12 million.

Northwest Pipe expects to manufacture the pipe in its Denver, Colo., division, and to complete the majority of the fabricated items in Monterrey, Mexico. Delivery is scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2007.

Northwest Pipe Co. manufactures welded steel pipe in three business segments. Its Water Transmission Group is a leading supplier of large diameter, high-pressure steel pipe products that are used primarily for water infrastructure in North America. Its Tubular Products Group manufactures smaller diameter steel pipe for a wide range of construction, agricultural, energy, industrial and mechanical applications. Its Fabricated Products Group manufactures propane tanks and other fabricated products. The company is headquartered in Portland, Ore., and has nine manufacturing facilities across the United States and Mexico.
