Northwest Pipe Announces New CFO

Northwest Pipe Co. announced that Stephanie J. Welty has been named Chief Financial Officer as of November 1, 2007.
 
Ms. Welty has over 20 years of experience in finance, accounting and information systems. Prior to joining Northwest Pipe, she was Chief Financial Officer at TriQuint Semiconductor, Inc. from 2005 to 2007. From 1994 to 2005, Ms. Welty served as Accounting Manager, then Director of IT, and Vice President of Finance. Ms. Welty holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Washington and is a CPA. 
 
“I am very pleased Stephanie has joined our management team,” said Brian Dunham, President and CEO of Northwest Pipe. “Stephanie's strong financial knowledge and leadership ability will help us grow our business. I look forward to working closely with Stephanie as we continue to build on our success."
 
John Murakami, the current Chief Financial Officer, who is leaving the company, will assist in the transition.
 
“John Murakami has been dedicated to Northwest Pipe's success for many years and has been a key contributor to our growth,” added Dunham. “I appreciate his many contributions, and we all wish him continued success in his future endeavors.”
 
Northwest Pipe Co. manufactures welded steel pipe and other products in three business groups. Its Water Transmission Group is a leading supplier of large diameter, high-pressure steel pipe products that are used primarily for water infrastructure in North America. Its Tubular Products Group manufactures smaller diameter steel pipe for a wide range of construction, traffic signposts, agricultural, energy, industrial and mechanical applications. Its Fabricated Products Group manufactures propane tanks and other fabricated products. The company is headquartered in Portland, Ore., and has ten manufacturing facilities across the U.S. and Mexico.
