May 25, 2006 — Northwest Pipe Co. has been named as pipe supplier for the Allen/Plano/Fisco/McKinney Water Transmission Main. As pipe supplier, Northwest Pipe will provide approximately $7 million of welded steel pipe for the North Texas Municipal Water District.

Northwest Pipe has received a verbal commitment from S.J. Louis of Mansfield, Texas, to supply approximately 32,000 feet of 72-inch diameter steel pipe. The pipe is expected to be manufactured in the company's Saginaw, Texas, division with delivery scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2006.

Northwest Pipe Co. manufactures welded steel pipe in three business segments. Its Water Transmission Group is a leading supplier of large-diameter, high-pressure steel pipe products that are used primarily for water transmission in the United States and Canada. Its Tubular Products Group manufactures smaller diameter steel pipe for a wide range of construction, agricultural, energy, industrial and mechanical applications. Its Fabricated Products Group manufactures propane tanks and other fabricated products. The company is headquartered in Portland, Ore., and has nine manufacturing facilities across the United States and Mexico.
