Northwest Pipe Announces $6.5-Million Order

March 23, 2007 — Northwest Pipe Co. has been named as pipe supplier to J.W. Fowler of Dallas, Ore., for the San Diego County Water Authority.

The company will supply approximately 12,000 feet of 93-inch diameter steel pipe. The pipe will be used for an engineered and custom-fabricated piping system to be installed in the Relining Paint Mountain Vent to Del Dios Highway Spec 565 project.

The company expects to manufacture the pipe at the company's Adelanto, Calif., division. Delivery is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2007.


Northwest Pipe Co. manufactures welded steel pipe in three business segments. Its Water Transmission Group is a leading supplier of large-diameter, high-pressure steel pipe products that are used primarily for water infrastructure in North America. Its Tubular Products Group manufactures smaller-diameter steel pipe for a wide range of construction, agricultural, energy, industrial and mechanical applications. Its Fabricated Products Group manufactures propane tanks and other fabricated products. The company is headquartered in Portland, Ore., and has nine manufacturing facilities across the United States and Mexico.
