North Star BlueScope Steel Completes Expansion
05/11/2022 - The company held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Monday for the expansion of the Delta, Ohio, USA, facility, which represents a US$700 million investment aimed at increasing its annual hot-rolled coil production by 850,000 tons.
The expansion included a third electric arc furnace, a second slab caster and a new shuttle facility.
"We've proven that you're a great place to do business in Ohio, and Fulton County and northwest Ohio have proven to be a place that you can succeed and everybody involved over those 25 years should be proud of this day because it wouldn't happen if that wasn't the case," Ohio Lt. Gov. Jon Husted said during the ceremony.
