NLMK Restarts Lipetsk Blast Furnace
02/13/2009 - Novolipetsk Steel restarts the refurbished Blast Furnace No. 3 at its main production site in Lipetsk.
NLMK (Novolipetsk Steel) has restarted its 2000-m3 Blast Furnace No. 3 at its main production site in Lipetsk.
The company had idled Blast Furnace No. 3 in October 2008 for a general overhaul. As part of the 100-day overhaul, the company partially renovated the unit’s furnace shell and refrigerators and fully replaced the refractory. The cost of the overhaul was RUR65 million.
