NLMK Names New CEO for Europe Strip Division

In a statement, NLMK said Cornelius Louwrens will take the reins as chief executive of NLMK Europe Strip Products, succeeding Renaud Moretti, who is stepping down in April.

“We are convinced that Cornelius’ extensive experience in the industry and as an executive in leading European steel companies will enable NLMK Europe Strip to execute its strategic development plans,” said Ben De Vos, chief executive of NLMK International.

“We would like to thank Renaud Moretti for his significant contribution to the transformation of the division,” he added.

Moretti is leaving for a position with LIBERTY Steel Group, where he will lead the company's downstream facilities in Europe.

Louwrens led NLMK’s NBH Plate before leaving in 2019 to head LIBERTY Steel Group’s U.K. division. He most recently served as chief technical officer for NLMK International.
