NLMK Announces Changes in its Management Structure
01/29/2013 - NLMK announced that Igor Anisimov has decided to step down as NLMK senior vice president, general director, to move on to a new appointment. The steelmaker has also announced changes to its management structure.
NLMK announced that Igor Anisimov has decided to step down as NLMK senior vice president, general director, to move on to a new appointment. NLMK has also announced changes to its management structure.
Under the new structure, the position of senior vice president — general director has been abolished, and the position of NLMK managing director has been introduced.
Sergey Filatov, former deputy general director for production and technology, has been appointed to the position of managing director. He will be in charge of managing all production, technical, and repair and maintenance operations at NLMK’s Lipetsk site. Sergey Filatov’s nomination as member of the NLMK management board is up for approval at an NLMK board of directors meeting on 30 January 2013.
Commenting on the change in the management team, Oleg Bagrin, NLMK group president, said, “I would like to thank Igor Anisimov for his major contribution to the development of the company. He has overseen a number of projects, the most significant being the construction of blast furnace #7. At the same time, I have every confidence that Sergey Filatov, with his extensive practical experience in steel production management and process streamlining, will continue to work on boosting NLMK’s efficiency.”
