Nippon Steel Group Offers Support to the Earthquake-Stricken Areas
03/17/2011 - Nippon Steel Group is donating ¥500 million for relief and reconstruction of areas devastated by the March 11 Pacific Ocean earthquake.
The Nippon Steel Group expressed “profound sympathy” for all the people suffering damage in the Tohoku district from the Pacific Ocean Earthquake and said that it “prays for speedy recovery and reconstruction”.
For relief and reconstruction of the areas, the Nippon Steel Group is donating ¥500 million. The Group is also providing food, daily commodities, mechanical equipment and materials.
The Group said that specific manners and destinations for its support will be determined after due consideration of the situation.
