Metal Shipment Growth Rate Rebounds in August 2010
20 September 2010 - The rate of growth of steel and aluminum shipments from North American metals service centers rebounded in August, according to the latest Metals Activity Report from the Metals Service Center Institute. Inventories of both metals changed very little during the month in both the U.S. and Canada.
World Crude Steel Production Dips 3.3% in July, Beats Year-Earlier Total
23 August 2010 - World crude steel production for the 66 countries reporting to the world steel association stood at an estimated 114.79 million tonnes in July 2010 — a 3.3% decrease from the previous month (June 2010) and an 9.6% increase vs. July 2009.
