Ruukki is Steel Structure Contractor for E6 Project

10 November 2009 - Ruukki will deliver steel structures for three road bridges and a railway bridge for the E6 road project in Sweden. Fabrication of the bridges is scheduled to begin in late 2009, with the last installations scheduled for spring 2011.

JSW Posts 34% Increase in Crude Steel Production

10 November 2009 - JSW Steel Ltd. reports crude steel production of 453,000 tonnes for October 2009, growth of 34% compared to the 338,000 tonnes produced last October.

Tata Steel Registers Increases in Production, Sales

10 November 2009 - Tata Steel completed October with production increases of 17% for hot metal, 22% for crude steel, and 27% for saleable steel compared to the corresponding month of last year. It also recorded a 38% sales increase vs. last October.

ThyssenKrupp GfT Gleistechnik to Supply Iraq’s Rail Network

09 November 2009 - ThyssenKrupp GfT Gleistechnik has been awarded by the Iraq Ministry for Transport and Railway Companies a contract for 30,000 tonnes of rails needed in the general renewal of the nation’s network. The 18-meter long rails, type UIC 60, will be shipped to Basra by the end of 2009.
