07 December 2009 - Ruukki has signed a steel structure contract for the delivery of the foundation piles for the Särkijärvi bridge in Tampere, Finland. The company will also deliver almost 6 km of large diameter steel pipe piles fitted with rock shoes for the foundations of more than 20 bridges in the highway 5 improvement project in Kuopio, Finland.

Redaelli Opens Wire Rope Production Facility in Italy
04 December 2009 - Redaelli has opened a new manufacturing facility in Trieste that will produce what it claims to be the largest wire ropes in the world. The facility will have the capacity to produce cables that weigh over 550 tonnes and are 175 mm in diameter.
Anti-Noise Screens Significantly Reduce Noise in Bartovice
