Handan Orders Wire Rod Outlet from Siemens

20 January 2010 - Handan Iron & Steel Co. has ordered a wire rod outlet from Siemens VAI Metals Technologies for a rolling mill in its Handan Works. The new equipment will enable Handan to produce rods from 5 to 22 mm in diameter, with the capability to expand to 25-mm rod, and rebar from 6 to 16 mm.

The Foundation will donate US$100,000 to enable this intervention, which aims to address the needs of around 70,000 people.
