17 February 2011 - Steel Technologies LLC has signed a Memorandum of Understanding to acquire the business and certain assets of Crawfordsville, Ind.-based NuPro Steel, LLC.

17 February 2011 - Nucor has signed a contract with Tenova HYL for the world’s largest single DR module ever to be constructed. The 2.5 million ton per year, Louisiana-based Energiron ZR plant will supply DR to Nucor’s other steelmaking facilities.

Chinese Boron-Added Plate Held Subject to Antidumping Order

17 February 2011 - The Department of Commerce has issued an affirmative preliminary circumvention ruling determining that Chinese imports of cut-to-length carbon steel plate that include insignificant amounts of boron are subject to the antidumping duty order on CTL plate.

Nucor Announces New Development in St. James Parish Project

28 January 2011 - The Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality has issued an air quality permit for Nucor Corp.’s direct reduced iron making facility that will be located in St. James Parish, La. The facility could ultimately lead to construction of a coke plant, blast furnace, pellet plant and steel mill.

28 January 2011 - Nucor Corp. reported a consolidated net loss of $11.4 million on consolidated net sales of $3.85 billion for the fourth quarter and consolidated net earnings of $134.1 million on consolidated net sales of $15.84 billion for the full year 2010.

17 December 2010 - Nucor Corp. announced guidance for its fourth quarter ending December 31, 2010, which supports the company’s qualitative guidance from late October that "the fourth quarter may indeed turn out to be the most challenging quarter of the year." The company expects Q4 results to be in the range of a loss of $0.10 to $0.15 per diluted share.

22 October 2010 - Nucor Corp. announced consolidated net earnings of $23.5 million, or $0.07 per diluted share, for the third quarter of 2010, compared to net earnings of $91.0 million, or $0.29 per diluted share, in the previous quarter and a net loss of $29.5 million, or $0.10 per diluted share, in the third quarter of 2009.

16 September 2010 - Nucor Corp. has selected St. James Parish, Louisiana, for the construction of a planned $750 million iron making facility, subject to receipt of all requisite environmental permits. The new facility will be owned and operated by Nucor Steel Louisiana, LLC, a wholly owned indirect subsidiary of Nucor.
