John Deere Honors Nucor Cold Finish-Nebraska with Partner-Level Status
02/21/2011 - Nucor Cold Finish – Nebraska earns recognition as a Partner-level supplier for 2010 and was also named Enterprise Supply Management Supplier of the Year in the John Deere Achieving Excellence Program.
Nucor Cold Finish – Nebraska, a division of Nucor Corp., has earned recognition as a Partner-level supplier for 2010 and was also named Enterprise Supply Management Supplier of the Year in the John Deere Achieving Excellence Program.
The Partner-level status is Deere & Company's highest supplier rating. Nucor Cold Finish - Nebraska was selected for the honor in recognition of its dedication to providing products and service of outstanding quality as well as its commitment to continuous improvement.

Nucor Cold Finish is a supplier of cold finish bars to John Deere's operation in Moline, Ill. Teammates will accept the award on March 1, 2011 at the annual Deere & Co. Achieving Excellence Awards Banquet.
John Deere Supply Management evaluates suppliers who participate in the Achieving Excellence Program in several key performance categories, including quality, cost management, delivery, technical support and wavelength, which is a measure of responsiveness. The group created the program in 1991 to provide a supplier evaluation and feedback process that promotes continuous improvement.
Nucor and affiliates manufacture steel products, with operating facilities primarily in the U.S. and Canada. Products include carbon and alloy steel bars, beams, sheet and plate; steel joists and joist girders; steel deck; fabricated concrete reinforcing steel; cold finished steel; steel fasteners; metal building systems; light gauge steel framing; steel grating and expanded metal; and wire and wire mesh. Nucor, through The David J. Joseph Co., also brokers ferrous and nonferrous metals, pig iron and HBI/DRI; supplies ferro-alloys; and processes ferrous and non-ferrous scrap.
