Commerce Finds Dumping, Subsidization of PC Strand from China

18 May 2010 - In the antidumping duty investigations on imports of prestressed concrete steel wire strand from China, the Department of Commerce has determined that Chinese producers/exporters have sold the product in the U.S. at 42.97 to 193.55%. In the countervailing duty case, Commerce determined that Chinese producers/exporters have received net countervailable subsidies ranging from 8.85 to 45.85%.

Agreement Reached with Allegheny Ludlum on Clean Air Violations

18 May 2010 - The U.S. EPA, Allegheny County Health Department, and U.S. Department of Justice have reached a settlement agreement with Allegheny Ludlum Corp. for alleged Clean Air Act violations at its Natrona silicon steel production plant in Allegheny County, Pa.

ITC to Uphold Duties on Stainless Wire Rod from Five Countries

17 May 2010 - The U.S. International Trade Commission has determined that revoking the existing antidumping duty orders on stainless steel wire rod from Italy, Japan, Korea, Spain, and Taiwan would likely lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury within a reasonably foreseeable time. Therefore, the existing orders will remain in place.
