07 January 2015 - Already in OSHA’s Severe Violator Enforcement Program (SVEP) for willful violations, Boomerang Tube LLC in Liberty, Texas, continued to put workers in harm's way and exposed them to unguarded machinery, failure to shut down machinery and other hazards, a July 2014 follow-up inspection by the U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) found.

05 January 2015 - The Bradbury Group has introduced a 60” X .070” cut-to-length line featuring a Bradbury e-Drive® leveler and an Athader rotary shear operating at 300 FPM eliminating the need for a looping pit. The line is also equipped with a recoiler giving the ability to rework secondary coils into leveled prime coils.

ISSF: Global Stainless Steel Production Up 9% in First Nine Months of 2014

02 January 2015 - The International Stainless Steel Forum (ISSF) has released figures for the first nine months of 2014 showing that stainless steel melt shop production increased by 8.9% year–on–year to 30.9 million metric tons. Production increased in all regions except for Central and Eastern Europe.
