According to an announcement, the project at Acciaierie Bertoli Safau took seven months to complete, from contract signing to project commissioning. 
 
The project included a new turret foundation and the turret itself incorporates a new design that facilitates maintenance. 
 
Danieli said the project also increases the maximum casting volume has from 150 tons to 176 tons. The turret serves the plant’s No. 2 bloom caster. 
 
"With the new turret, ABS in Italy will improve production cycles, operational and production costs, confirming the value of small revamping projects," Danieli said.
