Earle M. Jorgensen Co. announced that its recently opened Spokane, Wash., facility has reached full operating status.
The 15,000 square foot facility, which was opened July 1, 2005, has an extensive inventory of bar and tube stock and features the latest in metal cutting equipment. Five new jobs have been created at the site. The facility will enhance and expand service levels in the areas of Eastern Washington, Northern Idaho, and Western Montana.
"Following the significant increase in sales to the region, we wanted to increase service levels and delivery options to our customers beyond those available from our Seattle facility," said Robert Cloos, District Manager for Earle M. Jorgensen Co. "Our customers, many of whom are local screw machine companies, machine shops and local OEMs, will have the benefit of a wide range of metals, and value-added machining options. They will also have continued product availability enhanced by the location of the Spokane facility directly on the route to Seattle from our main Chicago operation, which provides seven to ten delivery runs a week," added Mr. Cloos.
The opening of this facility continues the Earle M. Jorgensen Co.'s strategy of continually increasing service and delivery levels to its client base through the development of local operations. This allows the company to serve its very demanding client base as locally as possible. The company's clients are increasingly looking to outsourcing solutions as they seek to run their businesses more cost effectively and benefit from the company's fast response rates, its unique on-time or free delivery guarantee and its on-the-ground knowledge of local needs and practices.
The addition of a facility in Spokane further progresses the Earle M. Jorgensen Co.'s strategy of continually increasing service and delivery levels to its client base by developing added-value capabilities close to its customers. The Spokane opening follows recent openings/facility expansions in Texas and Connecticut.
