New CFO Appointed to Siemens Industry Sector
09/27/2013 - Miguel-Angel López, previously the chief financial officer of the Industry Automation Division, will become the new CFO of the Industry Sector, effective 1 October.
The business economist will succeed Ralf Thomas, who was appointed CFO of Siemens AG in September 2013. López has served as the CFO of various business areas of Siemens VDO, Automation and Drives, Software and, since 2008, CFO of the Industry Automation Division.
"In light of his wide-ranging experience, his successful contributions to the company and our several years of work together in a relationship of trust, we are confident that with Mr. López we will master the challenges facing the Sector. We very much look forward to continuing to work with Mr. López as the CFO of the Industry Sector," said Siegfried Russwurm, CEO of the Industry Sector and member of the Managing Board of Siemens AG. A successor for the position of Industry Automation CFO will be chosen in the near future.
