The business economist will succeed Ralf Thomas, who was appointed CFO of Siemens AG in September 2013. López has served as the CFO of various business areas of Siemens VDO, Automation and Drives, Software and, since 2008, CFO of the Industry Automation Division.

We very much look forward to continuing to work with Mr. López as the CFO of the Industry Sector," said Siegfried Russwurm, CEO of the Industry Sector and member of the Managing Board of Siemens AG. A successor for the position of Industry Automation CFO will be chosen in the near future.
