New Ceramic Engineer Strengthens Plibrico's Refractory Expertise

Plibrico Company LLC is pleased to welcome Shamus Crean to the Plibrico Refractory Materials Division sales team as area sales manager. With a B.S. in Ceramic Engineering, Mr. Crean will be providing the highest level of expertise to Plibrico’s expansive wealth of refractories knowledge.
“We are pleased to have Shamus join our Plibrico team of refractory specialists,” said James Eckert, president of Plibrico Company. “Shamus has acquired many technical skills in ceramics processing including forming techniques, thermal analysis and testing procedures. His knowledge of refractory technology will be a valuable asset to our customers.”
In addition to his Ceramic Engineering degree from Alfred University in New York, Mr. Crean held a position with PCC Airfoils Ceramics Group as a new product innovation engineer. He was instrumental in the development of a revolutionary process of manufacturing ceramic turbine cores for the aerospace industry.
