Nelson Steel and Vigano Secure Order for Push/Pull Pickling Line in Poland
12/05/2014 - Nelson Steel and Vigano s.r.l. have been selected to build a push pull pickling line for ATS in Poland.
Nelson Steel will be responsible for the process section and Vigano is responsible for the entry and exit equipment on the line.
The pickling line is the 76 complete process section that the Nelson technology group has engineered and installed over its 46 years of existence. Nelson Steel’s unique position as operators/designers and manufacturers of pickling lines makes it an ideal choice as a supplier of steel pickling equipment with expertise in all aspects of operations.
The ATS pickling line is specified for operating at a maximum target of 200,000 metric tons per year and at a maximum line speed of 40mpm. Coils size for ATS is 30,000KG maximum at 6mm by 1600mm maximum width.

- “Turbo Tunnel” design to affectively reduce consumable cost on acid and gas consumption
- Acid recirculation system
- A three stage rinse spray system
- Single air blow off system

- Ferrous chloride and raw acid storage tank farm.
