Called Blue Steel, the portfolio’s steels have potential uses in hydrogen infrastructure, electric vehicles and wind power, the company said. 

“Deutsche Edelstahlwerke is accelerating the development of its steel solutions for applications such as electric mobility, wind power and fuel cells,” the company said. “The materials are highly resilient, resistant to challenging external influences and highly efficient.”

The company said it chose blue to represent the portfolio to help signify its upstream green production processes. 

“The color gauge is thus completed by Green Steel in production to Blue Steel in application,” it said.
