National Steel to Build New US$500 Million Complex
09/23/2019 - Saudi Arabia’s National Steel Co. has reached an agreement to establish a US$500 million steel products plant in an Omanese free-trade zone next to the Port of Salalah, according to the English-language Muscat Daily newspaper.
“65% of the factory’s production will be exported to the regional markets and it will manufacture various steel products that are used in the manufacture of refrigerators, generators, panels, steel roofs, heavy structures for large commercial and residential buildings, bridges, commercial complexes, factories and gas stations,” Ali bin Mohammed Tabouk, chief executive officer of the Salalah Free Zone, said in a statement, according to the newspaper.
