MultiServ Starts Three New Mill Services Contracts

Harsco Corp. announced that its MultiServ mill services division has been awarded three new international contracts having a combined total value of more than $18 million over their duration.

MultiServ will expand its 11-year service relationship at the EZDK steelworks in Alexandria, Egypt, under a new six-year scrap management contract. Under the new contract, MultiServ will take on additional responsibilities for handling and processing of incoming scrap materials. EZDK is Egypt's leading steel producer, serving markets throughout the Middle East region with a range of long products including construction rebar.

In the west of France, MultiServ has been awarded a new three-year contract to provide packaging services at Arcelor Mittal Packaging's Basse Indre plant near Nantes, a leading producer of steel for the food and beverage container industry. MultiServ's contract, which includes coil packaging, plate packaging and packaging consumables preparation, replaces a previous competitor and mirrors similar MultiServ operations at two other Arcelor Mittal Packaging steel plants in France's north and east, at Mardyck and Florange.

MultiServ has also been awarded a two-year expansion of its services at the LME Valenciennes Beltrame Group mill in the north of France, taking on additional responsibilities for scrap shearing and meltshop clean-up. MultiServ has been providing the LME mill with a range of core services since 2003.
