Byelorussian Steel Works (RUE BMZ), Republic of Belarus, has entered into a contract with Morgan Construction Co. to upgrade its single-strand 150 wire rod mill.

This is Morgan’s second contract from BMZ in recent years and will include new equipment designed to improve the metallurgical properties of BMZ's finished product, while increasing the mill's production capacity.

As part of the upgrade, Morgan will design, manufacture and install a pre-finishing mill, a Morgan Reducing/Sizing Mill (RSM), laying head, and a second compactor.

Previously, Morgan had installed new water cooling and temperature control systems, a new compactor and ring distributor, and made modifications to the company’s existing Stelmor^® coil cooling conveyor.
