Morgan Construction Co. has successfully commissioned a single-strand rod mill it designed, built and installed for Yuzhong Steel Works, Ltd., (JISCO Group), P.R. China.

The new mill includes two 2-stand Vee pre-finishing mills, an eight-stand No-Twist® Mill, and Morgan's Reducing/Sizing Mill (RSM). Morgan also provided water boxes before and after the no-twist mill, pinch rolls, a high-speed laying head, and a Stelmor^® conveyor with reform tub and coil transfer car. The mill is also equipped with the Morgan Enhanced Temperature Control System to enhance the mill's processing.

The new mill, which will reach its designed capacity within the first three months of operation, will produce coils weighing between 2060 and 2200 kg. It will have an annual capacity of 550,000 tonnes.
