Monnet Ispat Eyes Restart
01/02/2020 - Indian steelmaker Monnet Ispat & Energy is to resume steel production this month following an extended outage for maintenance and upgrades, according the Business Standard newspaper.
"We have completed expansion of pellet plant to 2.4 million tonnes, and we are also starting the integrated steel operations next month. So things should look better for Monnet," JSW Steel joint managing director and group chief financial officer Seshagiri Rao told the newspaper.
JSW Steel and partner AION Capital acquired the business under Indian insolvency proceedings last year.
