11/15/2021 - Danieli announced Friday the signing of a five-year memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Russia’s PJSC Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK) to reduce CO2 emissions.
According to Danieli, the two companies will evaluate the feasibility of introducing Danieli’s decarbonization technologies for the blast furnace and steelmaking processing at MMK's facility in the Chelyabinsk region.
“Our company fully supports the global efforts to prevent climate change and implements modern practices to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. This line of business is a key principle of MMK's sustainable development,” said Pavel Shilyaev, general director of PJSC MMK. “The agreement with Danieli will help us fight climate change more effectively and will reduce the man-made impact on the environment.”
