MMK Locks In Four-Year Supply of Iron Ore
12/22/2016 - Russia’s OJSC Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK) has signed a long-term iron ore supply agreement with the Eurasian Resources Group, contracting for more than 30 million metric tons over the next four years.
The agreement provides for pellets and concentrate from the Sokolovsko-Sarbayskaya mine in Kazakhstan.
MMK chairman Viktor Rashnikov said in a statement that the agreement advances the steelmaker’s relationship with Eurasian Resources Group.
“Our relationship is based on long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation. This long-term agreement with ERG is at the core of our corporate development program, which aims to secure OJSC MMK’s supply of raw materials,” he said.
