MMFX Steel Corp. of America Expands Regional Support

MMFX Steel Corp. of America has expanded its regional support structure with the addition of Jeff Girard as regional sales manager covering the states of Michigan, Indiana, Wisconsin and Ohio.
Girard has extensive experience working with engineers in the public and private sectors to provide innovative solutions for technical problems using value added products such as MMFX2 reinforcing steel. At MMFX, Girard, a civil engineer, will further grow the penetration of MMFX2 into the uncoated corrosion-resistant and high-strength reinforcing steel market.
“Jeff adds a key dynamic to the sales team, as MMFX grows with the rise in demand for products that increase life cycles of infrastructure,” said Kevin Bates, vice president of sales and marketing. “Jeff represents another step forward in growing local support for our products and will help us serve more customers as we expand into new territories.”
Girard most recently was a corporate sales engineer for Davis Wire in California. Prior to that he was with U. S. Bridge, a national steel truss bridge manufacturer, where he worked as regional sales manager. He was responsible for launching the U.S. Bridge product offering into the Western U.S. Girard was also the national specifications director for NDS Inc. in Los Angeles.
He has been an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Government Relations and Government Affairs committees, where he had insight on local, state and federal legislation. Girard is a Michigan native with a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Lawrence Technological University in Michigan.
MMFX2 rebar offers superior corrosion-resistance, resulting in longer-lasting bridges without the problems and special handling requirements associated with coated rebar. It is also more ductile than other high-strength steels and can be fabricated using conventional fabrication equipment. The product’s combined strength and corrosion-resistance improves constructability and sustainability and is already a standard product for bridge construction in many areas of the U.S. and Canada.
MMFX2 rebar is sold in North and South America by MMFX Steel Corporation of America and in the Middle East by MMFX Steel DMCC.
