Mitsubishi-Hitachi Metals Machinery Names New President
04/11/2014 - Mitsubishi-Hitachi Metals Machinery Inc.’s (MH) executive vice president Ryoichi Nishi was inaugurated on 1 April 2014 as the company’s new president.
MH was established in 2000 as a joint venture company between Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. (MHI) and Hitachi Ltd. for marketing steelmaking machinery.
President Ryoichi Nishi joined Hiroshima shipyard (current Hiroshima Machinery Works) of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in 1975. Since the establishment of MH in 2000, he has been engaged in company management, serving as the executive director in 2008 and executive vice president in 2013. He has dedicated himself to the sales operations and business management of steelmaking machinery for more than 30 years.
Yasukuni Yamasaki, the former president of MH, retired as an executive officer of MHI on 1 April and is scheduled to serve as an adviser to that company. He will concurrently serve as a director of MH and continue to support the new management team.
