Minelco Changing Name to LKAB Minerals
04/04/2013 - Minelco and its owner, LKAB, feel now is the time to build one strong global brand together covering the world’s industrial minerals, iron and steel industries, so as of 1 July 2013, Minelco will become LKAB Minerals.
The Minelco brand has, since its formation in 1989, become well-known, respected and looked upon as representing innovation, quality and reliability in the minerals world, the company says — something it is immensely proud of.
Since the start the company has been owned by the Swedish company LKAB, a world leader in mining technology and producer of high quality advanced iron ore products. LKAB has a rich history dating back to 1890 and Minelco embraces the same values: innovation, commitment and responsibility.
The companies feel now is the time to build one strong global brand together covering the world’s industrial minerals, iron and steel industries.
Importantly the companies remain the same company and the same people — application and mineral processing experts, with a focus on sustainability and customer value creation.
