Mill Steel Strengthens Executive Staff, Reorganizes Sales Management Team

Rob Vella, formerly corporate operations manager, has been appointed to vice president of operations. Having grown up in the steel industry, Mr. Vella brings a vast knowledge base to this position. Prior to joining Mill Steel in 2009, Mr. Vella worked as plant manager at the Ohio-based toll-processor, Ohio Pickling & Processing, of which his family is in partial ownership.
 
"While Rob has led a relatively short career so far, he has built a very strong track record of success at Mill Steel, as well as at his prior manufacturing employers. That tenure, combined with the skills, assertiveness, and strong work-ethic instilled by his family, has proven to be a wonderful backbone for him and Mill Steel to build off of," commented Eric Lambert, senior vice president (SVP), chief financial officer (CFO) and chief operating officer (COO), of Mill Steel. Mr. Vella has streamlined operations in all of the company's processing facilities and has most recently been an integral part in the planning and successful execution of start-up operations at the company's newly acquired facility in Jeffersonville, Ind.
 
Heath Buller, previously an account manager in the Building Products Division of Mill Steel, has been promoted to the position of sales manager, Building Products Division. Bringing over ten years of experience in the coated and metal buildings industry, Mr. Buller garners an acute understanding of the competitive construction trade market, as well as coated carbon steel products. Before joining Mill Steel in 2012, Mr. Buller served as global commodities Liaison for GE Appliance and was responsible for the purchasing of varied coated products.

His prior experiences in the coated steel products arena enable him to work effectively with his peers to bring Mill Steel's customers the greatest value possible," Lambert stated.
 
Shannon Monday has taken on an expanded role as customer service manager. Mrs. Monday has been with Mill Steel since 2006, working most recently as sales manager, Building Products Division since its inception in 2010. Throughout her time with Mill Steel, Mrs. Monday has come to possess in-depth knowledge of the construction trade market and its customer base.
 
"Shannon is seasoned in sales management and brings a vital understanding of Mill Steel's operating procedures to this role. Her prior management experience in our coated steel products division enables Shannon to guide the team in continuing Mill Steel's excellence in customer service," noted Pamela Heglund, Mill Steel's vice president of sales and customer service.
