Mill Contractor Takes On Expanded Role at JSW Steel Facility
04/06/2021 - Harsco Corp.’s environmental division has renewed a multi-year mill services contract with JSW Steel’s Dolvi Works in Maharashtra, India.
In a statement, Harsco said the contract retains it as the slag processor for the No. 1 steel shop and expands its role to include the No. 2 steel shop.
“JSW always puts emphasis on byproduct/waste product management, its effective utilization and maximization of its value by employing the latest technology, which is both economically and environmentally efficient,” said JSW Dolvi Works president Gajraj Singh Rathore. “With the finalization of this contract with Harsco, JSW has again moved one step ahead toward our objective of solid waste utilization.”
The Dolvi facility plans to build a single metal recovery plant, but until then, the contract renewal will allow for continuity of operations, Harsco said.
