Utilizing Danieli technology, the US$250 million Nucor micro-mill will produce rebar for the regional market. The mill is under construction now and is to enter service later this year. TMS said it expects to hire 15 people to help serve the mill.

The new hires will include heavy equipment operators, mechanics and management personnel, the company said.

Both Nucor and TMS said this new contract will advance their existing relationship.

TMS has locations at several Nucor divisions, and we are excited to have TMS join us in Sedalia,” said Kevin Van de Ven, general manager and vice president of Nucor Steel Sedalia.
